I took photos of the Bootsma's at Glenbow Valley Ranch between Calgary and Cochrane, Alberta. It really is the perfect place for adventurous family photographs. It is one of my favourite places to explore, especially during the spring with all the wild flowers and deer everywhere.
I think family photos should be fun and lighthearted. It isn't about getting the perfect photo as much as capturing what makes your family unique. In this session this meant dad jokes, talking youtube videos and big smiles. I laughed a lot and really enjoyed all of the kids antics as we hiked through the hills.
I think every session should end with something fun and carefree and the bubble war did not disappoint. There was a lot of funny faces and a lot of laughter. Take a look at the photos and see how many times you catch a kid being a little extra!
